Extra Bored Move
We build boring tools for the creative mind. Many good works begin with someone who gets bored, follows an odd question, or makes something just to see what happens. Boredom is not a flaw in the process — it is often the condition that lets a thought become its own thing.
Most software moves in the opposite direction. It competes for attention, adds noise, and keeps asking to be managed. New tools often behave like talkative colleagues with unearned confidence. Platforms keep adding until nothing is essential.
We prefer tools that recede. When a bicycle works well, you stop thinking about the machine and simply move. Thinking tools should do the same — quiet enough to disappear, leaving the mind unoccupied, private, and free to wander.
